Christmas Eve in Miller’s Point (dir, Ty Taormina) will have its global premier at the Cannes Film Festival as part of the prestigious Director’s Fortnight in May 2024. Laura plays as Joanne - a disillusioned Long Island mother trying to hold it together for the family Christmas celebration. Persuit & The elusive
Laura co-wrote and directed Pursuit and the Elusive in collaboration with musician and composer Lady Midnight and visual effects producer Second Sight Visuals (Brian Skalak). This experimental film shot in 360 is a companion piece to Lady Midnight’s 2023 album of the same name. This narrative short film that can be viewed using an oculus as well as in 2D. Information on how to view the film will be available in summer of 2024.
